Missed First Benson Friday? Here’s What to Do in Omaha the Rest of the Month
Benson’s First Friday is an Omaha tradition — galleries open late, live music spilling into the streets, and people packing into neighborhood spots. It’s a great way to kick off the month. But once the crowds clear out, the rest of the month can feel like it slows down. That’s where we come in.
At Anna’s Place, we lean into something different. Think candlelight, cocktails made entirely from scratch, and a vibe that’s more cinematic than chaotic. If First Friday is the big street-level celebration, we’re the tucked-away speakeasy where you can actually settle in and make a night of it.
Here’s what’s happening this month at Anna’s Place:
Buried in My Closet – Sept 18
That outfit you’ve been holding onto with nowhere to wear it? This is the night. Partnering with Daisy Jones’ Locker, we’re hosting an evening where the dress code is: finally put it on.
Complaint Department – Sept 24
Sometimes you just need to get something off your chest. Write it down, burn it, drink about it. A dark little ritual for anyone who’s had a week.
Tarot Tuesday – Every Tuesday, 8pm–12am
Omaha’s most consistent witchy night. Readings by Knox or Madam Davina, candles lit, spirits poured. It’s spooky season all year here.
Campfire Ghost Stories – Sept 28
A cocktail party built around storytelling, drinks, and all things haunted. Think s’mores, firelight, and whispers in the dark. Tickets move fast.
If you missed First Friday, you didn’t actually miss out. You just saved yourself for the nights where you can hear your friends, sip something intentional, and get lost in a little atmosphere.
